St Lawrence’s Primary School, Effingham, is one of 45 Surrey schools taking part in a climate-change debate at County Hall this week. Parents and others will be able to watch the debate live on the internet.
Surrey County Council, which has organised the ‘2006 Earth Summit’ debate, says it will involve ‘hundreds of schoolchildren’ on Monday and Tuesday (26 and 27 June) for.
‘This year children will be giving their views on climate change and quizzed by a panel of experts as they outline what they want to see happening in Surrey to tackle the issue of global warming,’ says a statement.
The live broadcasts will go 10.30am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 3.30pm each day.
